Our annual Celebrating Education Excellence awards highlight the contributions of Toronto Rehab staff to learners​ (including students, residents and fellows) and patient/family education. Learn more about each award below.

All category information is in PDF  format unless otherwise indicated.

Clinician Award: This category is for nominating your Toronto Rehab colleague who is a clinician (whose primary responsibility is direct patient care) and who stands out for their teaching contributions.

  • Nominations can be made by staff.

Leader Award: This category is for nominating your Toronto Rehab colleague who is in a leadership role (whose primary responsibility is supporting clinical care through practice, education and research) and who stands out for their teaching contributions over the past year. For example, nominations for program service managers, some researchers, some practice leaders, educators, service coordinators, directors belong here.

  • Nominations can be made by staff.

Interprofessional Team Award: This category is for nominating Toronto Rehab teams who stand out for their interprofessional education teaching contributions over the past year.

  • Nominations can be made by other teams/staff, learners (including students, residents and fellows), or a team may self-nominate.

Patient Education and Engagement Award: This category is for nominating a Toronto Rehab clinician or team who stands out for their teaching contributions related to patients and/or families over the past year.

  • Nominations can be made by staff, patients and/or families.

Outstanding and Innovative/Unique Contribution to Clinical Education Award: This category is for learners (including students, residents and fellows) to nominate a clinician who had a strong positive effect on their learning during clinical experience.

  • Nominations can be made by learners (including students, residents and fellows).

Contribution to a University/College Program through Education and/or Research Involvement Award: This category is for faculty in a teaching institution to nominate a Toronto Rehab staff member who has made an important contribution to their University/College program. Students, residents and fellows may be involved in this nomination process but at least one academic faculty must be involved.

  • Nomination can be made by academic faculty

Please note, only one nominator per nomination is required; however additional nominators are welcome. Nominators are asked to limit their nominations to a maximum of three people.
