I love to have this book as gift to young adults. Not just because I think books are the best gifts for them, but also this one is very inspiring and make them appreciate everything in life. They can learn so many things from the 14 Tuesday lessons that Mitch Albom met with his professor.
This is a book about an old professor dying from ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a condition also suffered by British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. People with this disease will have muscle weakness and atrophy throughout the body but not necessarily debilitate their mental functioning. During the lessons, the old dying professor discussed about life and death, love and relationship, good and evil...with the author. Best of all, those "life lessons" are not that you never heard before, but kind of a refresh about life for you to get some insight for you to LIVE!
The other books by Mitch Albom, five people you meet in heaven, for one more day, are also about life and death, love and relationship etc... Enjoy them!
