David Prowten, Executive Director and Board Secretary
In May 2010, Dave joined the Foundation, following several years in senior management roles in the not-for profit sector, and working in the packaged goods field at the start of his career. Arthritis has been a large part of his personal life experience and he is committed to increasing the funding for research, so that one day, we can say we have beat arthritis.

Emily Shandruk, Event Manager Power of Movement
Emily joined the Foundation in the Spring of 2010, having worked in the non-profit sector for two years as an Events Manager. Emily has been involved with events big and small; from 5k charity walks to black tie Galas. Since 2009, Emily has been the Vancouver lead on the Power of Movement and is extremely excited to be involved with the event in a much bigger way. Emily is committed to dispelling the myths that surround arthritis and autoimmune diseases, through events like the Power of Movement.

Emily also enjoys running, practicing yoga, spending time with friends and family and getting lost in a good Douglas Coupland book.
