Welcome to the AARC Foundation
Arthritis and related autoimmune disorders affect over 4.5 million Canadians. That number is steadily increasing, making arthritis a leading chronic disease and a massive burden to Canada's economy.
This is not about other people; it's about all of us. The over 115 arthritis-related autoimmune diseases have tremendous impact on the lives of countless Canadians, often targeting young people in the prime of their lives. Odds are you or someone you know understands this reality first-hand. DAY AT THE RACES 2010: "FILLIES AND FELLOWS"Our fabulous annual event will be held in the marquee tent at Woodbine Racetrack on Sunday, October 3 2010. Over the past ten years, Day at the Races has raised $1,370,000 for AARCF and we are chomping at the bit to increase this total. Please join us! Thank you to everyone involved in the Power of MovementOn March 7 2010 our 4th Annual Power of Movement Yoga Challenge raised over $325,000 for arthritis and autoimmune disease research. Ways to Donate
We have developed a number of creative and easy ways you can put the power of research to work. Below are a number of options to choose from. Your support, whatever the amount, will help the millions of Canadians, young and old, living with arthritis. General Donation Make a donation to support what is the most exciting time in arthritis research. You will receive a tax receipt for your generous gift. Tribute: In Honour Make a donation to honour someone who is celebrating a special occasion (such as wedding, anniversary, birthday, or bar/bat mitzvah). You will receive a tax receipt for your generous gift, and we will send a card with your special message to the person(s) being honoured. Tribute: In Memory Make a donation in memory of someone who has passed away. You will receive a tax receipt for your generous gift, and we will send a card acknowledging your thoughtful gift to the family.
