There are many ways we can help with your visit to UHN.
Before your visit, please contact your health team to inform them that you will need accessibility assistance while you are at UHN. Your health team will arrange accessible services for you.
Information desks are located at all main entrances, with knowledgeable reception and volunteers who are there to assist you.
We have information directories located near all our main entrances. The directories list accessibility locations for our elevators and accessible washrooms.
If you have a cold or fever, please contact your health team before visiting the hospital. If you are visiting a patient, help us prevent infection.
In the event of a scheduled disruption (such as washroom-cleaning or elevator maintenance), UHN will provide reasonable notice of the disruption. During planned interruptions, alternate services and facilities will be made available where possible.
In the event of an unexpected disruption, such as a power outage or flood, public notice will be provided and alternate services and facilities will be made available to accommodate persons with disabilities as required.
Notice of the planned disruption of services or facilities will be posted in conspicuous places.
