The Al & Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre (AHC) offers comprehensive health care to professional creative and performing artists, including students and staff at post-secondary arts institutions. Our mandate includes research, education and outreach to the arts community.

The specialized expertise of our practitioners focuses on the specific health care issues and needs of artists, with a view to providing a holistic approach to health within an evidence-based framework.

What's New at the AHC...

The Artists’ Health Centre is please to introduce two new practitioners to our healthcare team – Shiatsu Therapist
Leisa Bellmore and
Registered Massage
Therapist, Murray Howerth.

Leisa has been practicing shiatsu since 2001, having graduated with honours from the Shiatsu Academy of Tokyo’s 2200 hour program. She has been working regularly with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since 2002 and is currently working on a book about self-care for musicians.

Leisa will begin at the AHC on Monday June 14th and her clinic hours will be on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Murray has been practicing massage for the past 8 years. He has focused in the areas of rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries, cancer care, neurological disorders, pregnancy and sports massage. He is also an RMT for the National Ballet of Canada.

Murray will begin at the AHC on Wednesday July 28th and his clinic hours will be on Wednesdays from 12:00pm – 6:00pm.
