The Addiction Outpatient/Aftercare Clinic provides treatment to adults experiencing problems with moderate or severe drug and alcohol use. This treatment is customized to the client’s needs and goals so that progress proceeds at a pace that reflects the clients’ condition and situation.

While we offer services to everybody, we do have a focus on the special needs of women. Our clients are encouraged to explore their strengths and develop new coping skills and strategies that will allow them to address their problems. When suitable, we offer the client a referral to our Acupuncture for Addictions team. The Outpatient Program offers addiction and mental health assessment and consultation referral, individual and group counseling/therapy, family education plus information about related addiction, health and social agencies.

Self-referrals and professional referrals are accepted. The client calls the Program Secretary who transfers them to a Clinician. Following a short over-the-phone interview, the client is given an appointment or informed about the waiting list and given an alternative referral.

This program is open to women and men over 18 years of age. We do not accept clients with severe cognitive impairments. The client’s treatment is on a voluntary basis.

Services are available in English, Portuguese, French and Polish.
