In this episode, Debra speaks to the winners of the 2006 Nursing Research Challenge! Participants in the Nursing Research Challenge had an opportunity to learn about various research methods and to select a topic to study that was relevant to their practice area. Participants worked together with other nurses on their units to create a research question and methodology related to their topic of interest. They then had one month to develop their research idea. The winning groups had the largest team and the most well-developed project plans.

The project, which received funding under the Krembil Award Program, will evaluate the effectiveness of a fall prevention program delivered by an interdisciplinary team of health care providers that promotes fall and injury prevention among adults aged 65 years and older who have fallen.
