Nursing Informatics - Computer Applications

We live and work in the information age. The integration and management of this information will be one of the greatest challenges for health care organizations and providers. UHN has taken strategic steps to enhance our work environment by collaborating with industry and introducing a variety of electronic applications to enhance patient safety, patient management and promote multidisciplinary use of patient information.

Applications are the software tools used to facilitate information management. As we progress with the Information Management Strategy, the applications and technologies that nurses use in their practice will continue to change and grow.

Operating Room Scheduling Office System (ORSOS®)
Organ Transplant Tracking Record (OTTR™)

Electronic Patient Record (EPR)
Clinical Anesthesia Information System (CAIS)
