One in 10 Canadian women diagnosed with breast cancer currently receives treatment at Princess Margaret.

The M. Lau Breast Centre at Princess Margaret is the largest comprehensive breast cancer centre in Canada. Offering cutting-edge, novel programs in screening, diagnosis and assessment, treatment planning and delivery, as well as follow-up care, patient education and survivorship support, our centre receives more than 19,000 patient visits every year.

Our inter-professional team of medical, radiation and surgical oncologists works in collaboration with breast imaging specialists, breast-specific pathologists, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, nurses, social workers, dietitians and other allied health professionals. Our centre offers patient-centred care that treats the whole person, not just the disease.

We also offer innovative programs such as the Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Centre, the Familial Breast and Ovarian Cancer Clinic, the High-Risk Clinic, the Breast Cancer Survivorship Program, and the QuickStart Radiation Therapy Program which includes side effect management clinics, among many other patient education and support programs.

Through our dedication to research and education, we are continually pushing the boundaries of clinical care and improving the quality of life for people with cancer, throughout their cancer experience.
