The Radiation Medicine Program (RMP) at Princess Margaret is a major clinical training site for radiation therapy students enrolled in the joint University of Toronto and Michener Institute of Education at UHN Medical Radiation Sciences (MRS) program. RMP offers outstanding and comprehensive clinical experiences to radiation therapy students. Clinical radiation therapy preceptors work with students to gradually immerse them in the professional milieu within the framework of a wide range of programs and technologies in a supportive, collegial interprofessional work environment. Many radiation therapy staff serve as research mentors for MRS students enrolled within the MRS research course.

About the Medical Radiation Sciences Program

The MRS program produces tomorrow’s academic leaders in radiation therapy, nuclear medicine technology and radiological technology.

The MRS program provides a strong academic learning experience with a clinical focus by combining the innovative teaching techniques of the Michener Institute of Education at UHN – the only post-secondary educational institution in Canada dedicated to the applied health sciences – with the world-renowned academic excellence in medical education of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
