​The Toronto Lung Transplant Program is a world-class academic and training center, collaborating in Medical Research with other national and international programs.

Our Research focuses on Lung Regenerative Medicine, Primary Graft dysfunction and understanding the mechanism of Lung Acute & Chronic Rejection, and prevention of Infection post-transplantation.

We also perform both Basic (pre-Clinical) laboratory research as well as Translational & Clinical research for the treatment of end-stage lung disease with a focused interest in lung transplantation.

With average of 120 Lung Transplants performed each year, our center Achieves Excellence for you, and is leading the field of Transplantation in Canada, North America and the World.

Since we began, we have performed close to 1800 Lung Transplant operations to-date. Here are few highlights of Toronto Firsts:
