How To Get Referred To The Clinic

​​You need a referral from your doctor to become a patient at the Transplant Infectious Diseases Clinic.

When making a referral, your doctor will include:

  • A letter of referral
  • Clinical notes
  • Test and X-ray results

How Long Does a Referral Take?

Usually the doctor who referred you to the Transplant Infectious Diseases Clinic will contact you with your appointment time. Patients are usually seen within three weeks of referral. If the referring doctor feels the visit is more urgent, you could be seen sooner. Call the doctor's office if you do not receive information about your appointment within two weeks.​
