The Toronto Lung Transplant Program is affiliated with the University of Toronto and is a world leader in transplant research. Patients on the waiting list and post transplant patients may be approached by our physicians and research coordinators to participate in research studies. Participation is always voluntary and our studies have been reviewed and approved by the UHN Research Ethics Board, which is an independent review and approval that protects participants’ rights, privacy, and confidentiality while participating in clinical research.
