UHN Patient Focus Group - Survey Results

The Virtual Patient Focus Group (VPFG) is made up of patients and family members who have provided feedback to the Patient Relations Department. Different departments within our hospitals put together short questionnaires pertaining to an issue within their area. The focus group responds to these surveys via email, which makes it quick and easy. The results are then tallied and returned to the participating department.
The results of some of the VPFG surveys conducted in 2008/2009, are posted below. The surveys range in topics from assessing clinical practice guidelines to determining web site usability.
Many of the results of these surveys were instrumental in launching UHN patient education and information initiatives including Patient Education TV as well as the development of an online General Surgery Information binder to help better prepare and educate our surgical patients.
