Sherry L. Grace, PhD
Dr. Sherry L. Grace is an Assistant Professor in the School of KinesiologySherry Grace and Health Science at York University, and an Affiliate Scientist with the Women's Health Program at the Toronto General Research Institute, Behavioural Sciences and Health division. She holds a CIHR New Investigator Award through 2013. She is also affiliated with the University of Toronto's Graduate Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Department of Psychiatry, and Heart & Stroke / Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence in Cardiovascular Research. Her research interests lie in the areas of cardiac psychology and health services utilization, specifically referral and participation in secondary preventive services for women and men with heart disease. She holds several grants, has published approximately 40 peer-reviewed papers, and has collaborated on government reports (e.g., Women's Health Surveillance Report, Ontario Women's Health Status Report), and clinical practice guidelines (e.g., Canadian Guidelines for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention). She is a member of the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation Board, and enjoys teaching and knowledge translation. She has received a "best manuscript in 2003" award from Women's Health Issues for her article on gender differences in access to cardiac treatments.
