Treatment
Once a diagnosis has been made, you and your doctor will decide on the best treatment for you.

There are different treatments for head and neck cancers, and before you decide on the treatment, it is important to know:

Your age, overall health, and medical history

The stage or size and extent of the cancer

If the lymph nodes in the neck contain cancer

If the cancer has spread or metastasize to the other organs of the body

The type of cancer
Expectations for the course of the disease

Your opinion or preference

The three main cancer treatments are:

Surgery

Radiation Therapy

Chemoptherapy

You may also talk to your doctor about other available treatments:

Clinical Trials

One or more of these treatments may be used as part of your entire treatment plan.
