Recurrence
Recurrence means the cancer has returned after treatment has been completed.

Recurrence can happen when some cells from your first cancer were left behind after treatment. It can also happen when cancer cells from your primary tumor have spread to a different part of the body. These cancer cells continued to multiply, and returns even though you thought it were removed during your earlier treatment.

There are three kinds of recurrence:

  • Local Recurrence
  • Regional Recurrence
  • Distant Recurrence
