Evaluating Prognosis
A prognosis is a prediction of the expected outcome of a disease and its treatment.
Before making a prognosis, your doctor will look at the:
- Results of the biopsy and other investigations
- Stage of the cancer
- Size of the cancer
- Location of the cancer
- Your general health
In general, the earlier the cancer can be found and treated, the better the prognosis.
