Nurses are sponsored to participate in the High Acuity and the Critical Care Programs. Sponsorship includes tuition and salary support while attending the program. These programs were developed to meet UHN nursing needs in specific areas of practice. To register for any of these programs you must be newly hired in a specialty area or require additional skills to work in a step down unit or a busy medical/surgical unit. Nurse managers and Clinical Educators assess the readiness of staff to attend these courses.
