Department of Anesthesia (TWH)

The Department of Anesthesia at Toronto Western Hospital is part of the University Health Network and one of University of Toronto's teaching hospitals. TWH provides trauma emergency care for head injury, spinal injury, hand injury and ocular injury, and performs surgery in 13 operating rooms.

Anesthesia is provided for the following services at TWH:

• neuroanesthesia
• spinal surgery
• dental
• orthopaedics
• general surgery
• plastics
• ophthalmology
• outpatient
• anesthesia
• acute and chronic pain
• same-day admission clinic
• pre-operative anesthesia consultation clinic

The Anesthesia Department at TWH does not provide cardiovascular, obstetric or pediatric anesthesia.
