Mentalizing and the Treatment of Trauma
Mentalizing is the capacity to perceive and interpret human behavior as an expression of internal motivations which include needs, desires, feelings, beliefs, goals, purposes, and reasons.

Understanding and improving the mentalizing process can have a significantly positive impact on the treatment of psychological conditions including unresolved traumatic experiences.

In this mini round Dr Claire Pain explains the role of mentalizing in trauma therapy.
