Reflecting the multi cultural nature of our city and the cultural diversity of the residential areas neighboring our hospitals, we carry out our services in a multi-disciplinary team setting. Thus, in addition to services in English and French and Spanish, we offer treatment to the Portuguese and Asian communities, in their native tongues, through the Portuguese Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Asian Initiative in Mental Health.

On a more long-term basis, we offer detoxification programs, addiction recovery programs and long-term care for those with serious and persistent mental Illness. Our research component, the Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit, offers novel and experimental treatments to qualified patients.
