The MDPU treats people with Bipolar Disorder and Major Depression with the aim of getting them better and back to themselves as quickly and painlessly as possible. We achieve this goal by offering consultation and a second opinion regarding both medication and other therapies. Special attention is given to the treatment –resistant patient who does not respond well to the standard psychiatric medications. A solid research team can offer leading edge treatments to patients who meet eligibility requirements in the context of a clinical trial.
