The Italian Mental Health Program (IMHP) serves the Italian-speaking population living in the Metro Toronto Area.

Program Objectives
| • | provide culturally sensitive mental health services to the Italian-speaking community in the patient’s native language |
| • | provide a holistic biopsychosociological approach to our mental health services |
| • | provide psychotherapy and pharmacological treatment to the patient and family in order to facilitate a return to living in the community |
Program Services
| • | Psychiatric Assessment leading to a Treatment Formulation Plan and formal written report to the referral source (family physician or other) |
| • | Medication Management |
| • | Brief Solution-Focus Therapy / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy |
| • | Case Management for Chronic Mental Illnesses |
| • | Family Support and Education |
| • | Community Liaison-consultation |
| • | Referral to community resources when needed, such as: family doctors, , anger management groups, issues around domestic violence, parenting education, housing, social services. |
