Portuguese Mental Health & Addictions
This outpatient program provides linguistically and culturally appropriate mental health and addiction services to the Portuguese speaking community. A multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with a psychiatrist in the delivery of care. The program has three main services: a general assessment, treatment and consultation service, an addiction/concurrent disorder service and an intensive case management service for chronic mental illness.
Goals
- To improve the quality of life of Portuguese-speaking Ontarians affected by serious mental health and addiction problems
- To limit the prevalence of serious mental illness and addiction problems through education of consumers and community care providers

Eligibility
People of Portuguese background with a mental health and/or addiction problem or concern. Priority is given to those who are Portuguese language dependent. Court ordered referrals for addiction treatment are accepted.
