Peter Munk Cardiac Centre
In 1997 thanks to the generosity of Barrick Gold Corp. founder and chairman Peter Munk, a cardiac centre was created in his honour. Through his continued support and the support of others who are passionate about cardiac health and medicine, the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre has become the number 1 cardiac centre in Canada. Approximately 17, 000 patients receive care in the centre every year.
