Test Your Limits. Climb a Mountain!

Over a year-and-a-half of dedication and preparation has culminated in this - the Trek.

Dr. Heather Ross, Medical Director of the Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplant Program at Toronto General Hospital, and the team of brave adventurers are off - to the bottom of the world.

The team includes Mr. Ian Delaney, Executive Chairman of the Board and Director, Sherritt International Corporation; Mr. Dale Shippam, Thunder Bay Fire Fighter and heart transplant recipient; and Dr. Patricia Murphy, Director of Cardiac Operating Rooms, Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Intraoperative TEE, University Health Network.

In the climactic finale of their efforts - successful efforts, having already raised over $1,000,000 - to raise funds and awareness concerning the devastating reality of heart disease, as well as research into potential treatments including mechanical heart, cardiac transplant and regenerative medicine, the team is in 24-hour sunlight, climbing Mt. Vinson Massif, the highest peak in Antarctica.
