Committees

UHN has a number of committees and groups that work toward improving the accessibility to our premises. The following work toward addressing the needs of persons with disabilities and creating a supportive environment: UHN’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Planning CommitteeThis committee is comprised of employees and volunteers who are dedicated to promoting  an accessible environment that is welcoming to all persons regardless of ability. The responsibilities of this committee include consulting with people with disabilities and preparing UHN’s accessibility plan. We welcome the participation of members of UHN’s community with disabilities. If you are interested in joining us send an email request for information to accessibility@uhn.on.ca

Accessiblity CommitteeVirtual Patient Focus Group
The Patient Focus Group is a new Patient-Centered Care initiative, created by the Patient Relations Department and supported by Corporate Management. The purpose is to survey current and former UHN patients and their families, about hospital issues, initiatives and policies. The feedback that we receive is used to understand our patients’ perspective as we implement change within the hospital. One of the exciting aspects of this initiative is that all communication will be done via email and participants will have the ability to contribute when it is convenient for them.
